1 Charge the iPhone's battery entirely.

2 Charge your laptop's battery completely, if you are using one, also connect it to a wall outlet. If you are using a desktop computer, skip this step.

3 Launch iTunes. Delay to a minute to see if a window appears asking if you would like to update iTunes. If an alert comes upwards informing you that an update for iTunes yous available, click "Yes" to set up it. Restart iTunes after the update remains complete.

4 Connect the iPhone to your PC, also wait for it to be detected by iTunes.

5 Click the icon representing the iPhone on the left part of the screen.

6 Click the "Update" button in the primary portion of the window, below the great iPhone image. If an update is available, any window will appear asking you to download it.

7 Read the window to see what fixes plus new features are accessible in the iPhone software update, then click "Next" to proceed with the installation. Your iPhone will be updated with the most recent software.
