If your phone is some Global System with Mobile Communications (GSM) telephone, in that case you can use it with each network. Most suppliers may lock your telephone. This lock prevents you from using the telephone on another network. To unlock your phone, you need to gain an unlock code. Test Point software gives you the ability to unlock your phone together with just an International Mobile Gear Identification (IMEI) quantity and USB cable.

Things You'll Need

1 Enter *# website6# in your phone's keypad. Write lower the 15- to 17-digit IMEI number that appears on your screen. Keep it nearby to reference.

2 Download the Test Point software. (See Means.) Save the file to your desktop. Double-click the file and follow installation instructions. Save the software to your PC's hard drive and permit it to reboot your computer.

3 Remove the protective cover out of the back about your telephone. Take away the battery plus SIM card. Replace the protecting cover.

5 Launch the Check Level software. Wait for it to notice your cell phone. Enter the IMEI number, when prompted.

6 Press the "Read Codes" button. Write down the unlock code. Disconnect your phone from the computer.

8 Get into the unlock code inside your phone. Wait for notification that is you unlocked the telephone.

Tips & Warnings

Entering the code incorrectly 3 times results in a permanently locked phone.
